Looking back at the last week, I realize how very, very blessed I am. What would seem like a completely "normal" week to most people is a fantastic week to me. I have had productive days at work, with no distractions, with great conversations with great clients with whom I truly enjoy working. I have helped a friend with some decisions regarding care of her dog, although all I did was listen, and I retrieved a recuperating-from-surgery cat from an unhealthy recuperative situation. I have gone out with friends, even had an overnight with a friend, and at the end of the visits, all I had to do was come home and carry on with my life. I got to hold a baby and share in the all-of-life-is-an-adventure world of a three year old. I have had some serious conversations with old friends and with a new friend, and all participants in those conversations had no secret agenda nor were they "gathering intel" for later use. I conversed with friends at odd hours and had no guilt or drama caused by that. I spent luxurious, unscheduled time with my baby girl, and afterward, I had no explanations or excuses to make, nor was anything said to take away any of my joy in that. I figured out a few things around the house that are second-nature to many but were great victories for me. I was reminded, both directly and indirectly, that I am worthy. This status will seem odd to many, but to those who have even a clue of the past ten years of my life, it will make perfect sense. To those very, very few who know me well, thank you for sharing my life, both before and after. For those who know me less well, thank you for sharing your life with me, in whatever ways you choose to. For those of you who are no longer close to me, by your choice or mine, thank you for sharing whatever we have shared, and I wish you all well. For myself, I am grateful for all of my experiences, which have led me to where I am now. I like it here.
