Looking for a Parking attendant for a Housing Division of a hospital in NY. Prior valet parking experience required!!!! This will be 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day – could include weekends, so candidates should be flexible. Start ASAP through 5/4/15. Email resumes to vgrissom@execu-search Summary: Parking and retrieving cars for patients and their families / friends Garage Parking Attendant Performs general duties of a parking attendant and cashier that include: parking and retrieving customer’s cars. Collect cash and other forms of financial remuneration from customers in exchange for parking. Works both outside and in an enclosed booth that customers must pass next to in order to enter or exit. Principal Job Duties: • Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base. • Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and help direct traffic. • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times. • Basic computer skills in the parking revenue control system • Must work with or without supervision. • Assist with cashiering functions as needed. • Responsible for general maintenance of the garage – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, etc. • Other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Education: • High school diploma or GED required. Experience: • Prior valet parking experience required. • Cash handling experience is preferred but not required. • Strong customer service experience. Skills: • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. • Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language. • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view. • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. • Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement. Valid US Drivers License Basic Math Skills Physical Demands: • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds. • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
