Looking for a bit of advice - Im thinking of buying a new laptop, but I have no idea what to go for. Budget is around £500, but willing to go a little over depending on the laptop. DVD drive is preferable, but not essential. Im used to Windows 7, and havent used Windows 8 yet. Any advice on processors, touch screen vs. not, RAM, storage etc. would be most welcomed... Usage:- Films - I have Netflix and Sky Go, so whilst DVD drive is preferable I could manage without it. The only problem being the ability to install software - though this can be done through online downloads. Editing - I use Photoshop for photo editing and playing with graphic design, also using Googles Picasa - So decent enough performance for these would be nice and in terms of storage. Games - I dont think I would use the laptop for this, as I believe the specifications needed for decent gaming would push up the price considerably Web browsing etc. including Youtube and the aforementioned movie sites.
