The stimulus I suggested for the meeting was - Use your 60 seconds to say how technology has affected your business. While the common theme was the internet and various devices (smart phones, iPads ect) have improved the way members do there business there was some interesting examples: 1/ The copy writer who said technology enabled her to do her work in bed. 2/ The insurance agent who could handle a clients truck fire on New Years day even while on holiday 3/ The architect who was an early adaptor to CAD software at a cost of $96,000 ! 4/ The sign member who took out a loan of $5,000 to buy his first mobile phone. 5/ The IT member who became a Cyber detective. He had client whose lap top was stolen. It had remote access software installed. He was able to give info to the police which helped them catch the robber.
