Looking for current and previous residents of Kosmosdale, - TopicsExpress

Looking for current and previous residents of Kosmosdale, Riverside Gardens, Lake Dreamland, Rubbertown, etc. who have been impacted by environmental and health hazards from sources such as the Mill Creek Generating Station & Lee’s Lane landfill. I am a Valley Station resident and associate company member of Looking for Lilith Theatre Company, which is a local professional ensemble theatre that creates original plays by re-examining issues from the perspectives of the women involved. As part of the Arts and Cultural Attractions Boards commitment to the YES Festival in 2015 (Year of the Environment and Sustainability) we are creating a new play based on environmental issues affecting Louisville--specifically the chemically affected neighborhoods of Rubbertown and the surrounding areas, as well as the effect of coal ash in the Ohio River, and other concerns. Our plays are built from oral histories, and we are seeking to conduct interviews this summer with both women and men who are close to these issues. If you would be interested and available for an interview and/or could connect us with someone who would like to share their story and experience on these issues, please contact me through Facebook or [email protected].
