VOLUNTEERS NEEDED SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2014 Where:Castroville Regional Park (Sign-in at the Small Pavilion) THIS IS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO EARN COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS AND HELP THEIR PARK AT THE SAME TIME. Time:8:00 am until ???? Main Project:Clean up along the river Other Projects:Cutting back Landscape Plants Hiking Trail Maintenance and Repairs Work on New South Rim Adventure Trail Raking and bagging leaves in RV Park Painting Pool House interior Painting hand rails Cleaning Picnic tables and benches with Clorox Staining/Restoring Picnic Tables in RV Park What to Bring: Limb Loppers, Hand Pruners, Leaf Rakes, Pitch forks, Work Gloves, Buckets and Sponges, Weedeaters and Chain Saws What To Wear:Very Old clothes, Old work boots or Tennis shoes. There will be meaningful work for all ages, interests and abilities. And…because this is a “Super Saturday Work Session”, a complimentary picnic lunch will be served to all volunteers at noon. Even if you cannot come, you can help by forwarding this email to everyone you know and by telling everyone you see. Donations of bottled water and/or Gatorade will also be appreciated, as will cash to help defray the cost of the picnic.
