Looking for some help from my horse friends. Sorry this is long winded! Arve is having a hard time breathing again. Vet says heaves. I agree, however, it does not seem to be because of the usual reasons, like dusty hay. I have gone the hay soaking route and not soaking, it didnt make any difference. He has 24/7 free choice turnout on grass (more like grass fuzz, he is a fjord!) He was very bad for most of May. Nothing wrong at all in June, and a few days ago he was so bad I gave him a dose of dex in his am and pm feed, and hes been on it since to keep him somewhat comfortable. I have a call in to the vet again, but didnt get much in the way of answers last time, so not expecting much help there. Obviously something in the environment is having a bad effect. Having done all the environmental things I can, Im wondering if anyone has had any luck with a supplement or treatment?
