Looking to replace sons rucksack with a more lightweight version. - TopicsExpress

Looking to replace sons rucksack with a more lightweight version. Originally bought a Vango many years ago when it was just to get kit from car across large campsites to tent without assistance from parents. Has served well. But having done bronze and silver DofE (twice with school and with scouts!!-hes a bit mad) he has come to realise that his rucksack is way heavier than others when its empty. He will be trekking across Mozambique and Swaziland for 3.5 weeks next year and needs a lighter weight rucksack, that will stand up to trekking as has to be a min of 65l according to the kit list. Also needed for training this year. Have come across these two - at GoOutdoors, but found them in other specialist shops just at vastly increased prices - and wondered if anyone had any comments on them, or if they could recommend anything else.
