Looks like it was International Hijab Day yesterday. We have a lot of muslim ladies here and just because they wear a scarf, it doesnt mean they are any different or any more oppressed than any other women. A while back, I read Unorthodox by Deborah Feldman and according to her account, Orthodox Jewish women are totally oppressed. They also wear head-coverings, and yet nobody is going on about the rights of Jewish women.
