Looks like our Police, Security people and others in position of authority have not learned much from the C O I of the Little India Rioting. The one clear thing we can see here...is that LAWS are being broken in a controlled public place, a large unruly crowd edged on by a few instigators DELIBERATELY..and who had earlier been advised and CAUTIONED....about their actions...but yet WERE ALLOWED TO CAUSE DELIBERATE DISTURBANCES, HECKLINGS, INTIMIDATIONS....to innocent chidren, other performers, and even to a Minister My question and that of many of the good people of Spore...WHY THE POLICE DID NOT ACT TO ARREST THE TROUBLE MAKERS ? Must our Police there ..WAIT for further Instructions from above...to act or take effective action ? As far as I know, Police NEED NOT wait for any instructions from anyone to act. They are governed by Laws empowering them to act.....and those same laws never stated that before they act...they must consult this or that higher officer, office holder or what not. In good conscience therefore...they the police should have taken immediate action. Could it again be the FEAR...of doing the wrong thing that led to this total inaction to act ? Or merely senior officers unsure or unclear about HOW TO HANDLE SUCH incidents of law-breaking....as they know the whole of SG is watching ? I have much to share on this but will hold my peace for now.
