Looks like this NYTimes blog intends to devote more room to Latino issues but they have this guy Nate Cohn writing in it that does not seem to know (or seek) the literature or main issues and sounds like he never took even an intro Latino Studies course...worst part is he thinks he knows it all. That kind of arrogant been told Im a wiz kid syndrome...you know exactly what Im talking about. The i-obviously-know-more-than-the-natives-because-Im-smart-and-civilized kind...Im going to have a hard time with it. The latest is trying to figure out the Hispanic versus Latino thing...Likely that #Hispanic v #Latino preference can be explained by region, national origin/ethnicity & age/cohort factors...but, oh, well...
