Lord, I want accept my sufferings willingly, lovingly and with dignity and peace. But instead, I often fight the challenges and difficulties that I am faced with. I have even become fearful and anxious at the thought of what pain might await me in the future. Forgive me for this. All my life, you have shared in my burdens. I want to share your trust, patience and faith that all you give me leads to ultimate good. Into Your hands this night O Lord I commend my spirit. Into Your ears I pour out all my troubles. Into Your loving heart I humbly confide my sins and failings. Watch over me during this night, that tomorrow I may serve and praise You. Amen Watch O Lord with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your Angels and Saints charge over those who sleep. Tend Your sick ones, dear Lord, rest Your weary ones, bless Your dying ones, soothe Your suffering ones, pity Your afflicted ones, shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your Loves sake.
