Lord, MAKE US HUNGRY! Anybody remember The Jesus People Movement? TJPM was an era in our Pentecostal/Charismatic history where masses were coming into the Kingdom, getting baptized anywhere there was water, sitting around in circles strumming guitars, and sharing the Word and telling everything that breathed that JESUS SAVES! One of the incredible earmarks of that time was: HUNGER. Im talking about RAW HUNGER for the things of God! I was privileged to come into a greater DISCOVERY of JESUS through the HOLY SPIRIT during the last part of that move of God. I LONG to see the RAW HUNGER return! Im NOT hungry for a STAGE SHOW even tho I love ambience....it is NOT the same as WORSHIP. I am NOT hungry for the latest trend, even tho I love relevancy. I am NOT hungry to meet with a CROWD or MOB and never be spoken to or invited to coffee, even tho I love people. I am NOT hungry for a tightly structured church service so that we have no time to linger in Gods healing, empowering Presence...even tho I love order. Im asking God to RESTORE HUNGER! Could it be that we havent eaten the Meat of the Word in so long that our hunger pains have left????? Pray with me! LORD, MAKE US HUNGRY!!
