Losing Nikes a lot harder than I thought it would be. I loved both - TopicsExpress

Losing Nikes a lot harder than I thought it would be. I loved both my dogs ... Im not afraid to say that. But losing Nike was a lot different than when I lost Buddy. Buddy was more of a loner. Nike and me however, were practically inseparable. He loved car rides, and I took him practically everywhere I went, if I could. We even shared a beer together when Buddy died. Dont go all PETA on my ass, He liked beer I didnt force him to drink it, It was less than a half a bottle. Just to tell you what he did and where he wanted to be in his last moment of life ... He took the rest of His strength and got up (after He collapsed in the yard) and got on the couch to sit next to me. During thunderstorms he ran to me. Every time I went somewhere he wanted to come. When I was trying to become a truck driver I was wondering if I could take him along with me. I knew he would have loved it. And I would give anything if I could have been with me until I died. He was the most faithful and selfless pet Ive ever known. Most dogs are, but he was even more special than most Ive known.
