Loss/Gain- This is important for me to state to all our child - TopicsExpress

Loss/Gain- This is important for me to state to all our child support friends: In every situation we want it all. We want all the attention from our mate. We want our children to constantly adore us. We want each staffer at the Department of Revenue to give us all the correct information . We want the judge to be kind. We want the clerks to smile. We want as much as we can get at every single second from everyone we meet. I find that at any meeting, interaction, friendship I feel very fortunate for anything that I learn. Even if its one thing. Sure there are losses, frowns and sadness; however, any seemingly small gain should be looked at as huge. I dealt with someone in a drunken state who was irate about his ex. The behavior perplexed me because at first I didnt realize he was drunk. Later he apologized and his simple apology glowed in me and made my week. So the loss of a sober person still turned into a gain because I stuck around for the opportunity of a win. Even if I am in a courtroom for three hours I may only learn one new bit of information. That is to be treasured. It was worth it. Instead of immediately flying off the handle and feeling the loss, hang in for the gain. There usually is a gain. Look closer for it. SG.
