Lots of folks in Ayres’ Eau Claire office got into the spirit for an ugly sweater contest this week, vying for the prize of an even uglier trophy. The five finalists strutted their stuff for the judges, except for contestant Dan Sydow, one of our talented structural engineers, who could not be present for the strut-off. Dan ended up winning after another Ayres staffer graciously modeled the sweater in the final round of judging. Dan bought the sweater – which is really more a vest than a sweater – at a thrift shop a few years ago and has gotten good mileage out of it at ugly sweater parties.
