Lots of reminders of Dad this week. Two of the highlights were meeting up with this wonderful woman who told me of the way Dad inspired her as a young woman to be the best she could be. The thing with Dad is that he believed in the goodness of people. He believed in people, period, and always saw everyone for his/her highest good. I also found this old pic of his bumper sticker when Dad ran for City Council in 1967 and made history becoming the first independent candidate to beat the GGL in an at-large election (we didnt have single member districts yet). Dad became known as the voice of the people and continued to advocate for every day people and families until the day he died. Im feeling Dad with me on this campaign. I love you, Dad.
