Lots of wind damage reported in the last hour!... repost from Geraldine:: Just coming home on a coach through Roffey by the church, 2 cars stopped as the very large road sign had snapped off and was blocking the road. Several people managed to move it it onto the grass verge, could have caused a nasty accident! repost from Annette: Please repost... Church Lane, Plummers Plain. Please avoid, large branches from an oak tree have come down across the road, and are suspended across cables which are at head height and over my hedge and into my front garden (have taken out the phone line attached to my house) police are here now and waiting for highways. They said that at least 15 trees have come down across Horsham in the same gusts. Please be careful out there folks. I have been told to go inside and stay safe. repost from Dave: Just come back from Billingshurst. There is a tree down in Station road Billingshurst covering half the road. Its on a blind bend so you dont see it. Also the Five Oaks-Broadbridge Heath Road has 2 low hanging trees on the North Bound side. they are about 2ft above the average car roof, so a van would hit them. Also loads of debris on the road - be safe if you are going out tonite. repost from Lousie: ust driven from Broadbridgeheath to Warnham and there are lots of branches and debris on both sides of the road, some rather big. Be careful, especially now it is getting dark. repost from Amy: Tree fallen in road between Southwater and Shipley, think its called Shipley Road.
