Lots to report! It seems this Halloween week and to ring in the month of November, we have had 3 young patients all undergo brain surgery! 15 year old Jacob Grimes who I asked your prayers for is still in the hospital and pain but is doing great with his recovery after a successful surgery at the University of Virginia with Dr. Athagiri (formerly lead researcher of the NF2 study at the NIH). On Halloween, 15 year old Ricki Jensen had a successful brain surgery in Utah with Dr. Shelton and Dr. Bollo at the Childrens Hospital in Utah. Although a success, Ricki is still experiencing lots of pain and nauseousness deterring her from wanting to eat or drink. And yesterday on November 1st, young college student Reagan White endured an 18 hour surgery in Texas but due to the degree of swelling the surgery team was unable to implant the auditory brain stem implant which will help her to hear. Please continue to pray for these patients and their families to get rest, comfort, peace, to have strength, and for healing so they get better and better in recovery each day and that their pain ceases so they can get back to living life fully!
