Lotsa little heart breaks: I am so happy Zachie had this special time with David, his grandparents, Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and friends in NY/NJ but am bummed to have missed it in real life. Last night, Zachie spoke with me on the phone and asked for Emme. I about died. While the conversation between a 2.5 y.o. and a 5.5 y.o. is often disjointed, cell phone speaker conversations make it 1,000x worse (lots of interrupting and talking over each other). Their conversation was mostly this: Hi, Emme. Ill be home the day after this day. Zachie, I miss you. Zachie, I love you. This exchange between the two of them is a dream come true. She just came down and saw the pix of Zachie... I want my Zachie. I may just die of heart break.
