Love Hockey Ireland are delighted to announce their Inaugural charity shield tournament which will take place at “The Rink” Sports Arena Portadown on saturday 28th & Sunday 29th September 2013. Format & Categories: Senior Category Maximum of 10 Teams 2 Groups (4 games per team) Quarter Finals Semi Finals Wooden Spoon Game 7th/8th Place Game 5th/6th Place Game 3RD/4TH Place Game Final All teams guaranteed a minimum of 6 games Cost per team: During the two days each team will play a minimum of 6 games for a small fee of £200.00 to go towards the running of the tournament. Unfortunately we have to ask that 50% of this fee is paid by Friday 13th September and the other 50% paid at the start of the tournament. Accomodation: Love Hockey Ireland are in the process of organising discounts for travelling teams seeking accommodation for the weekend, any teams wishing to book accommodation should contact Stephen Lynch on 07779297414 for further details. Junior Category Love Hockey Ireland are keen to have a junior section to the weekend tournament, and would like to hear from all clubs who would like to enter a junior team in a mini tournament. The Junior games would take place on the Saturday morning. All teams interested in entering a junior team must register their team by no later than Friday 13th September.
