Love and accept yourself “When we accept the way we feel, we allow ourselves to honor the feeling, and when we stop fighting the sadness or the anger and we just accept the fact that we feel it, the fight ends, and that emotion moves through us and leaves, and we’re able to feel something better. Emotion is energy in motion. E-motion. So we want to keep that flow, and when we say that we accept ourselves, we keep that energy in motion, and that emotion doesn’t stick with us.” – Jessica Ortner Jessica teaches Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping. Here is an explanation I found on the internet of what EFT Tapping is: “EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem – whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. – and voice positive affirmations.” I have been tapping almost every day now and I am so impressed with what I am able to release and let go without hardly any effort at all. The best part about dealing with my “hard to deal with emotions and feelings” through EFT Tapping is that in the end I am always left with an overwhelming sense of joy and nothing but pure love and acceptance of myself!
