Love barber shop conversations. Was in there yesterday and some lad was banging on about how a whole family had died because one of those fake widow spiders had got in to their kettle, and the boiling water had killed the spider whilst popping the venom bag, so when they all drank the tea they all happened to die. Bullshit. 1. Those spiders arent poisonous. 2. They havent come over here on the banana boats. 3. Even if they were poisonous, a spider that small would not have enough venom to kill an entire family. 4. Weve had those spiders in this country for more than 85 years and there has never once been a recorded death from them. 5. If youre going to make up some bullshit story, make sure theres no one around to hear your bullshit, or will get pulled up on it. #HappyThursday
