Love is a transformative force, and if you want to experience it you better be ready to change in every way imaginable. My wife does not accept me, and thank God for that. She challenges me. She makes me better. In other words, she loves me. What kind of a pathetic and dreary goal is that, anyway -- just wanting to be accepted, tolerated, put up with? Thats not why were put on this planet. Life is not about gaining acceptance. Life is change. It is not static and stagnant, do you really want your relationships to be? I kind of love this article. I am so grateful to have a man who loves me unconditionally but also challenges me. His strengths are my weaknesses and vice versa. True love is challenging each other, helping each other become better, more positive people. Since the day I met him, mike has told me I am beautiful every single day. Literally, he has not missed a day. I used to not believe him (I mean I have morning breath and bed head, how am I beautiful?) but he means it every time. He has taught me that I am beautiful inside and out. I have never had the confidence I have today and, if it werent for Mike , I would never know how amazing it feels to truly be confident in everything you do. True love makes you a better person.
