Love is a verb! Love is service! Its easy to spend money on someone but giving of your time says much more. This year I decided to switch it up and I made everything for Vday by hand. It was the first Vday in the 7 years Ive been married that my wife cried while looking at her gifts. I started the morning by making heart-shaped pancakes with red food coloring. I put sliced bananas and strawberries around them. Then I made heart shaped, red velvet cupcakes. Then I made her a Valentines Blessing Jar that was filled with notes that explained to her the many things I love about her. Then to end the day.. I put filet mignon on the grill with some asparagus, and red garlic potatoes.. With red velvet cake and homemade chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. I say none of this to impress you, but to impress upon you that we need to set a new standard in love. We need to go the extra mile, be selfless, and make love a verb not just a four letter word. My posts you read daily arent just words. I want to lead by example and live what I talk about everyday! *excuse my typos. My 6 year old is rushing me to play 2k14 with him.
