Today would have been my 34th wedding anniversary, had we not ended it around the 12th year. I seldom think of the date and Im always grateful for those years and feel they did, indeed, soften the heart more than harden it. So it was odd that last night I had a vivid dream about him, full of the excitement and enthusiasms of early love. It may have been the Beatles music of last evenings concert or simply a touching of bases in the dream world, but it was very real. It made me smile in the memories and appreciate those years we did share on this lifes journey. Those years were not a mistake, they were meant to be.
