Love shows in many ways. Ive had a stressful go of it of recent and a crushing schedule for a four day stretch into the weekend. I came home Friday night to find my yard mowed because Andrea Flaspoehler Owsley knew it was something I was worried about and might be too tired come Sunday. I chose wisely right? It gets better. Part of my weekend schedule included a very long run as part of my training for a race Im running in Oct. Ive spent hours on my feet, have two miles yet to go and I get the only text I ever recall her sending to me while Im running: Taking the kids to [the store]. Theres freshly cooked bacon at home for BLTs if youre hungry. Im looking at a 4,200 calorie burn by the finish. Hungry is an understatement. Bacon and a quite house when I get home? That, my friends, is how its done.
