Love this rant from William .. And I reckon he has many fair points .. Pre season rugby over a famous series victory ... I think not .. Thoughts ? ----- Dear Tony, it takes a bit to get me angry but TVNZ has really pressed my buttons today. Its the middle of cricket season and our national team are enjoying arguably the best home season in living memory. So why on earth would TV1 news lead their sports bulletin with rugby? A pre season game to boot! Then to add insult to injury this was followed by a golf story before finally reporting the series whitewash over the reigning cricket world champions. Now dont get me wrong, I love rugby, but for goodness sake its January! I have enormous respect for Lydia Ko and her achievements, but until she wins a major then surely this cricket story outweighs what she got up to today. Maybe I just dont understand journalism, but let me tell you this: after 36 years of watching TV1 news the time has come to switch channels...
