Love to learn about food. This week we highlight watermelon. High in vitamin A which is important for maintaining good eyesight High in lycopene which in humans has been shown to reduce the risk of many cancers. Along with drinking Green Tea on a regular basis, eating watermelon has been shown to reduce a mans risk for Prostate Cancer High in B vitamins which help energy production There are fewer calories in than water in watermelon which means that you get more nutrients and fewer calories In general eating fruit everyday helps prevent macular degeneration and other diseases which cause loss of eyesight as we age. Fun Fact: Approx 92% of watermelon is water.
