Lovely day today. Firstly, mum and I at our Church for Harvest. The last Hymn we sung is one of my all time favourites - Shine Jesus Shine, made famous by Graham Kendrick. Hymn below my post. We really like his work. After Church, my family took one of my best friends out to lunch at Pizza Express for lunch. Mmmmm. Back home and saw some TV and did some crossword puzzles. Glad to have a day off. I recently worked 7 days in a row (Thursday last week - Wednesday this week). The Thursday just gone was my day off, but had a dental in the morning, then spent the afternoon baking, decorating and making up sweet/candy bags. This was to take to work Friday. This was for a Macmillan Cancer coffee and cake day to raise money for this worthwhile cause. I was on the phones doing my normal work from 8am -9:30. Then, I was signed out for the rest of the day (until 4pm), with a work friend - Joe Ibbotson so we could manage our stall with the cakes, hot drinks and many goodies. We are part of our works Charity Committee, and it was great to feel involved and raise money for Macmillan. It was a fun day. Joe - couldnt have done it without you. Also, thanks to Katrina Griffin for helping us when we took out individual lunch breaks. Had lots of fun, and looking forward to the next event.
