Loving for the sake of Allah is one of the most exceptional - TopicsExpress

Loving for the sake of Allah is one of the most exceptional perspectives on life. It increases your Imaan (faith), your sabr (patience) and your tawwakul (trust & reliance in God). Loving for the sake of Allah is the only love you will experience which doesn’t result in getting your heart broken, hurt or feeling disappointment. This is because loving the people around you has nothing to do with their character or kindness. Similarly, their positive or negative behaviour does not affect the way you feel towards them. Your ultimate initiative is to please Allah, and that is accomplished by pleasing those around you, taking care of your family, friends and neighbours that you may go to Jannah together. It is the easiest love to keep constant because your patience is that much more effortless to hold onto - why? Because when you treat people well, the expectation is no longer about the person. It’s now about Allah - I want Allah to see, to be pleased and to reward me. I.eI smiled at my old relative who no longer talks to me because I knew this would please Allah. I gave charity that Allah may reward me. I advised my friend that Allah may save me from the fire. I cooked my husbands favourite meal that Allah would be happy with me. Nothing seems as personal. It doesn’t matter as much if people don’t appreciate you or treat you as well as they should, because your initiative wasn’t to make them happy alone - there was a higher motive as well. If Allah saw what I done right then that’s sufficient enough for me. Abû Hurayrah relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah will ask on the Day of Judgment: ‘Where are those who loved each other for the sake of My glory? Today, - on a day when there is no shade but mine – I shall shade them with My shade.” [Sahîh Muslim (2566)] The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Among Allah’s servants are people who are neither Prophets nor martyrs, but whom the Prophets and martyrs will deem fortunate because of their high status with Allah.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Inform us of who they are.” He said: “They are people who loved each other for Allah’s sake, without being related to one another or being tied to one another by the exchange of wealth. By Allah, theur faces will be luminous and they will be upon light. They will feel no fear when the people will be feeling fear and they will feel no grief when the people will be grieving.” Then he read the verse: “Behold, on the friends of Allah there shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd(3527)] So when you tell someoneI love you for the sake of Allahthe real reason why it is becauseI care about your hereafter, and I want to see you in Jannah. The purpose of our relationship means nothing if we aren’t going to be together in the next life.
