Lubbock soared to 95 degrees for a daytime high today officially at Lubbock International Airport. The Texas Tech Mesonet site at Northfield (Northern Motley County) hit 100 degrees today for the warmest temperature across the viewing area. Guthrie hit 99 degrees. Dry weather continues through Tuesday. Expect plenty of sunshine again Monday with highs in the middle to upper 90s. Some areas may top out near 100 degrees once again. Tonight, we can expect clear skies with mild overnight lows in the upper 50s. Some areas may remain in the 60s. Lubbock only dropped to 65 degrees this morning. Southwest winds average 15 to 25 mph overnight increasing to 20 to 30 mph Monday out of the west. A slight chance of storms is possible Wednesday evening, mainly east of Lubbock. Cary Allen KCBD
