Lucky? Whadyathink? He fell out of the sky like that? FRIENDS, I just read a comment on the blog from Lisa. First Lisa thanks us for the great gift suggestions on the Momastery gift guide (check it out on the blog), and then she says: The only thing I’ve purchased is your book, that I haven’t opened but gave to my husband to give to his wife on Christmas morning! Can we just take a moment for a collective AMEN in Lisas general direction for her wisdom and generosity in setting herself -- and her grateful husband -- up for success this holiday? Lisas comment reminds me of the Birthday chapter of CARRY ON, WARRIOR (spoiler alert, Lisa) in which Craigs bungle of my first birthweek as his wife results in a compulsory Birthday do-over and emergency Love Summit. In that chapter, I explain: The Love Seminar worked for us. There was crying, laughing, and lots of talking about how hard it is to come from two different families and make a new one. We talked about how impossible it is to read minds and hearts and what a relief it is to hear what the person you love needs and learn how to give it. To set each other up for success rather than failure. So basically, what Im saying is: 1) Well done, Lisa. You should probably give the book to a friend. You clearly already have it all figured out. 2) If any of the rest of you need a gift for your husband to give to his wife, or your BFF/partner/kids to give to their BFF/partner/mom -- or for any other special someone on your list --- I am signing copies of CARRY ON, WARRIOR for a limited time to arrive for the holidays. Each order includes free shipping. Set yourself up for success here: shopmomastery/Carry-On-Warrior--Signed-Copy_p_14.html
