Lucy has C-diff or antibiotic associated colitis due to some antibiotics she was on. Labs show we caught it early and it should be easy to treat. One day if treatment already cut her white count in half. While the infection is caused by antibiotics... It is very contagious. I am heading home to bleach the house in hopes that will lower our chances of reoccurrence. Aside from NICU, Ive never left the hospital while Lucy has been admitted. Luckily our home night nurse is coming in to sit with Lucy while we are out. I know shes in good hands and will be okay if she wakes up while Im gone. Feeling lucky to have such good nurses at home that we can depend on.
