Lucy isn’t pulling the football away this time (at least not yet). Rejoice and take all the credit for it—because you’re the reason why. Come Friday, the Republican majority in the House of Representatives will likely pass the plan put forth by Congressman Steve Stockman, which funds the federal government via continuing resolution except for Obamacare. This is a crucial first step towards saving an already fragile American economy (not to mention lots of unborn babies and religious liberty) from the evils of Obamacare. However, it is a step the leadership of the Republican Party is taking rather begrudgingly to say the least. Those of us in the grassroots – capably assisted by organizations like the Heritage Foundation, Club for Growth, Freedom Works, and a host of Tea Party groups – have forced their hands. We mobilized, and reminded them that we are really the ones in charge here and not them. And like a rebellious child whose feelings have been hurt by his parents finally cracking the whip, they’re venting and whining about it to anyone that will listen—the liberal media most of all. So before we move on to the cautionary part of today’s briefing let’s stop, pat ourselves on the back, thank God, hold a toast to our Founding Fathers, and give ourselves a helmet sticker for a job well done. In addition, make sure to pay close attention to the grassroots organizations (some of whom I just mentioned) that went to the wall on our behalf, as well as those that didn’t. Pay close attention to the “alternative media” that went to the wall on our behalf, as well as those that didn’t. Now you know who your friends really are.
