Luke 1:38, And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Marys servant spirit and willing heart to submit herself to the word of her God is stunning, in light of the historic context of her day, and what the birth of a child would mean for her in her public perception. Yet she yielded herself to Gods will. May we yield ourselves to the will of our Lord and Savior, just as Mary did.
