Luke 12:49 KJV I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I , if it be already kindled ? ==“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” This IS the Father whom hath given His Son charge over the whole earth and them which dwell therein OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. We must look as well towards this verse “O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure” and “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying” and clearly “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” So herein having the outward “spankings” and hard times we must come to reverence fearing the Lord as HE states- “Neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” AND “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” It is a rare day that men will preach of this: “This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty. If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.” “Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.” “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate;” Now it does occur that some will be so afraid they may beg for HIS mercy therefore; beginning a relationship upon Mercy. Yet why do we have fear, but yet it was something of HIM already within us enabling the fear of HIM. It is obvious that whoever is sensing the fear of the Lord does have knowledge of the Lord; even perhaps a relationship with HIM. “But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” And “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” “By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil”. So “depart from evil” is twofold; being outwardly and inwardly. First it must be done inwardly through valuing HIS word over anything else! This brings this verse to fruition-“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” Now having a sincere devotion unto HIS “words of life” manifesting within us, as HIM to abide within our hearts- He states- “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” THEN “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love”. Now here is why the Lord will act on our behalf: “They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold”. “They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof” “In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.” The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hate” It is the completing verse which says it all “The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.” AND AGAIN- “For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God.” Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. Here we can see how that the light- our Lord, is a protector amidst the darkness of this world UNTO HIS OWN-- GENESIS 18 v 23 “And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?” It must be read-- so go read this section seeing the LORD’S word for you---It is completely Heavenly receiving and allowing HIS word of spirit and life to dwell within us! HEAVEN AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY BUT MY WORD SHALL NEVER PASS AWAY
