Luke 13:18-21 Jesus said.What is the kingdom of God like? What shall i compare it to? It is like a man taking a mustard seed and planting it in his garden.The seed grew and became like a tree,so that the birds built their nests in its branches. Amd Jesus said again, To what shall i compare the kingdnm of God? It is like a woman taking yeast and hiding it in three measures of flour until it was al leavened. REFLECTION Jesus gives two parables of the kingdom in todays Gospel passage. Both of them bring home three points: first,the kingdom of God always has a humble beginning. Jesus began with four disciples and the went on to call the Twelve and sent the Seventy-two. Today the Good news is spread across the globe. Secondly, its growth is always unnoticeble and invisible. Todays world needs tangible effects and visibl results. But the kingdom of God is a matter of human heart. It is only God who knows about the progress of an individual in spiritual and religious matters. Finally, the kingdom of God can accomodate the whole world. For example, the mustard seed produces a tree which become the resting place for birds in the sky. What is my understanding of the kingdom of God? Am i growing in spiritual and religious life?? Take this minute amd analyse yourself alone,meditate and see what you understand about the kingdom of God
