Luke 17:11 - “As He (Jesus) entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off…” These men were lepers, they were considered to be the outcasts of society! The ones people did not want to have around, the ones people looked down on… Because they were rejects, outcasts of society… “… they stood afar off…” Their situation had cut them off and turned them into lonely, hurting people; people who were frustrated and hopeless, unable to envision their way out of their situation. Wasn’t there someone who could have helped, someone who could have given them hope and a reason to live again??? Maybe you can identify with them… • You feel hurt by your past, and maybe present, mistakes and wrong choices • You feel sad because of your alienation from people • You feel all alone and neglected because you feel as if you were born into the ‘wrong’ environment and no one wants to hang out with you… - You are hurting… - You’ve become embittered and alone in your own corner of society, shut out and shut off from everything and everyone… • But I am here to give you hope • I am here to give you a reason to want to live again, to want to try again… • I am here to give you a reason to want to get up in the mornings again… I declare to you that Jesus is in your midst right now!!! He’s shown up especially for YOU… to help you, to lift you up, to give you reason to want to live again, to give you His “joy unspeakable and full of glory”. Jesus is here to help you get your feet and get on the right track again! Just turn your life over to Him, with all its brokenness and pain, and watch the Grand Miracle-Worker take what that nasty devil meant for evil, and work them all together for your good!!! Just put your life in Jesus loving care...
