Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.......Is a faith that is as small as a mustard seed do something? Jesus says if you have such a faith, you can move mountains. However looking at the following scriptures ; Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?. Luke 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?.....We realise that that little faith of the mustard seed was unable to do certain things. Wherefore Would Christ ask us to have a faith as small as a mustard seed..? We all Know He cant deceive us, so was He talking in parables? Shall we look at this too. Luke 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. Just as the, sower sowed a seed on various grounds and the grounds were likened to different characteristics of humans, so does this garden symbolized we humans. The mustard seed which is that word of faith is planted into us. It is now up to us to nurture this seed to grow into a huge tree. How? Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God....We nurture this little seed of faith with more of the word in order for it to grow into a huge tree of faith that it can now be used to move mountains and do anything.....Dont forget others will also benefit as you grow branches and people will rest under your big branches and shadow of faith. How much word do we take in a day?. Even as the rod of Aaron grew branches and bears friuts overnight, Moreso shall we bear friuts by the intake of the word so that by and by we will all reach the full knowledge of the word and be metamorphorsized into great spiritual giants.
