He was telling them the day would come when women wished they were childless. Women worry about their children. As bad as the day was (Jesus had been flogged and nailed to a cross beam), worse days are to come. The tree was green (Jesus was among them), but the day will come when "it is dry." The day will come when Christ raptures His church. Then the Holy Spirit, which keeps the evil one at bay, will be gone from this Earth. Evil will explode in a way never imagined by man. My heart goes out to those who are here when "it is dry." Do not allow yourself to be one of those. Receive Christ, and join the eternal celebration in Paradise.
