Lula Lucinda Golden-LaFever was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Putnam County to the late William Daniel and Nora Richardson Golden. Known to everyone as Ma, she left us a few years ago with memories of huge morning breakfast composed of scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, country ham, pork tenderloin, canned biscuits and chocolate gravy. At Mas house Coke and Pepsi were called POP, you never went hungry and she was the boss. Kids were supposed to be kids, run and have fun. I have many memories of the coal black haired lady that will stay with me for a lifetime. Mas and Pas house was always a special place to me, its where I got my love of old cars, homemade jellies and jams, saw my first outhouse and first heard Country Music, especially the music of George Jones. Today shed be 90 years old. I sure do miss Pa and Ma, but I know they are alive and well on the otherside. Im sure Pa is trying to bait a line for some fishing in Jordan and Im pretty sure knowing Ma, shes telling him how to do it, rofl. It sure would be great to see them today. Happy Birthday Ma, sure would love to see you, but from time to time I feel you, I gotta feeling.......
