Lulu update: Lulu clearly wasnt satisfied with only 3 ice cream cones, so we decided to try 4. Thanks to Matt Keller for the great idea! Papa Johns delivered the wrong pizza last night and when I called they told us theyd make the right one and to keep the wrong one. I certainly did not need 2 pizzas for myself, so Lulu, being selfless as always, made sure the pizza vanished. Lulu had a pretty good week, but her nasal breathing is starting to sound pretty obstructed this morning. The current thinking of her veterinarian is that the cancer in her nose is either (1) growing too fast for its own good and parts of it become necrotic and essentially get lodged in her nasal passage and then she has to either sneeze them out or sort of suck them down her throat; (2) causing blood clots which get caught in her nose; or (3) the piroxicam is working and causing the cancer to sort of do (1) above. Option 3 is extremely unlikely, but Schalie Johnson are allowed to hope! We are hopeful that we can be on the front end of this blockage and avoid the headache of seeing her unable to breath through her nose because that is very upsetting to her and leaves her unable to relax or sleep. We dont want to have an another emergency jalapeño chip eating session, but 2 bags are standing by.
