#Lunch_Time_Sport with #Andrew_Wamono Reports of KCC FC coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe have gained momentum after he missed the team’s Monday training session at Lugogo. Nsimbe was over the weekend linked with two Tanzania clubs; Azam and Simba SC though he denied any knowledge about the reports. However, the club’s official website reports he was absent on Monday with assistant coach Abdullah Mubiru in charge of the session. Mubiru told the players after training that there is no official communication on the matter apart from media reports. ………. AFRICAN ………. Ghana has turned down Confederation of Africa’s Football (CAF) request to host the AFCON 2015 finals. This was after the continental body approached the West African nation to take over the hosting responsibilities after Morocco had pulled out on claims of the highly contagious Ebola Virus. Ghanas Youth and Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga confirmed the development on Monday. ………. Zambia will not train today 11th November as a mark of respect for the late Republican President Michael Sata who will be put to rest on the same day. President Sata who died on October 28 will be put to rest on November 11 in Lusaka. Zambia coach Honour Janza said the team will be back in training on Wednesday for their forthcoming 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifiers against Mozambique away on November 15 and Cape Verde at home on November 19. ………. Nigeria is yet to receive their cash prize for featuring at this year’s World Cup in Brazil, media reports have said. Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick has formally asked FIFA to remit the cash prize. The NFF are due to get about $9 million (N1.4 billion) for reaching round of 16 at the World Cup, but FIFA will after deducting tax, accommodation, feeding, transport, security and sundry costs rendered to the Nigerian delegation at the World Cup. INTERNATIONAL ………. Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has been named as the new manager of Spanish club Real Sociedad. It is the 51-year-olds first job since he was sacked as United manager in April after a 10-month spell in charge. Moyes replaces Jagoba Arrasate, who was dismissed by Sociedad after a poor run of form which currently sees them lie 15th in La Liga. The Scot has signed a contract to June 2016 and will take charge for the first time at Deportivo on 22 November. ………. Ex-Celtic striker Henrik Larsson has stepped down as coach of Falkenbergs to take charge of Helsingborgs, where he had two spells as a player. The 43-year-old, who won 106 caps for Sweden, played for Helsingborgs from 1992-93 and 2006-09. In his first managerial role, he had three seasons at rivals Landskrona, but failed to lead them out of Swedens second tier and left in November 2012.
