Lunda Tchokwe and/or people around in my opinion made this amazing dagger. The flat blade was sinuous with an enlarging in the central part and later tapering linearly towards the point. The central enlargment was partially reduced by sharpening. The guard is wonderfully decorated with a series of oblique small ribs with herringbone incision on their side. The handle is decorated with 4 rows of segments filled with triangles. The base of the handle is globular again decorated with small ribs normal to the handle and two lateral ones parallel to it. An old cartridge was added as a pommel. I would attribute this knife to the Lunda Tchokwe area because of the form of the guard. This group also made sinuous blades. An old label, similar to that used at the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX suggest this item was in display in some collection, possibly a Museum. 50 cm long.
