Luxurious car seized in Nakhon Sawan for possible tax evasion On August 26, Nakhon Sawan provincial police have confiscated a high-end car while it was being delivered to the North. The police believed the car was illegally imported. A black Porsche was confiscated in Nakhon Sawan before being delivered by a trailer truck to Chiang Mai. According to the police, the car did not have a license plate. After a quick interrogation, the truck driver confessed that he was hired to pick up the car at Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi, and was heading to Chiang Mai, adding that he would get 18,000 baht for the delivery. The police further revealed that the car was worth around 12-18 million baht and was sent in a container from Germany, adding that the only thing that came with the car was an invoice which had yet to be proved it was not falsified. At this stage, the police would confiscate the car until the owner can provide proof that it was imported legally. However, if the car was found illegally imported, legal action will be brought against the perpetrators, said the police. (NNT)
