MACHAKOS county government ENGINEERING TECHNCIAN (CIVIL)- (1) POST REF: MKS/CPSB/2013/4 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . Co- ordinate all technical activities related to civil and structural engineering . Supervise projects implementations monitoring and evaluations . Prepare regular and periodic reports . Ensure design, constructin and maintenance standards are adhered to and maintained . Design and develop cost effective models for water appropriation, storage, purification and distributions . Design and implement strategies for continuous operational efficiency and sustainability of water and sanitation facilities . Develop and contract sustainable and viable water service providers in urban and rural schemes . Preparation of contract documents, reports and other statutory documents required by the county government or development partners . Ensur effective integrations of activities and timely delivery of services . Oversee preparation and approval of work plan . Any other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT . Diploma in Engineerng - civil . Bachelors degree is an added advantage . Minimum two (2) years experience in project design, implementation and management . Ability to co- ordinate activities and deliver as per given schedules . Proficiency in AUTOCAD/ VISIO and/ or other engineering design related application . Team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills SALARY AND REMUNERATIONS Salary scale: Ksh 31,020 - 41,590 pm House allowance: Ksh 20,000 pm Other allowances: Ksh 6,000 pm Terms of service: Permanent
