MACHINE TRANSLATION (sorry).....Spread the word............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Spread and help us! Starbucks refuses to negotiate with the Union (again ...) September 26, 2013 at 1:28 a.m. Dear Citizens: We write these lines to explain a complex situation like the multinational union of Starbucks Coffee in Chile, we alarm dramatically. It is no secret that our relationship with the company has been very complicated, especially since the collective bargaining occurred in 2011, at which, from its headquarters in the U.S. and fulfilling its international policy states that " Starbucks unions are unnecessary, "the company disposed of all its resources, logistical and managerial personnel device to derail the process and then discourage union membership through various media strategies, direct pressure and retaliation. Much of this act outside the framework of the rule of law was suspended in 4 convictions for more than 10 anti-union in 2012 [1], however, the effectiveness of such behavior is evident when the company makes the union representing to about 50% of the company, now has only 6% affiliation (circumstance that very likely will arrogantly to discredit public). A survey of more than 70% of the company revealed that workers, despite union find much needed work, do not join for fear of reprisals as already sanctioned. In this context we are negotiating today again, and the current response of Starbucks, as in 2011, is rejected as a whole and individually each and every one of the 13 that were presented in our contract, even though some of they do not even represent an economic cost. This only serves to show that the same anti-union policy, pride and stubbornness seem to keep patents. Our union is seeking through this process, not only formally validated and maintain its existence through its activity primarily collective bargaining, but also to turn the page so that workers fear losing their democratic development of labor relations . We urge support us massifying this message through various social networks and requiring Starbucks, through its site facebook / StarbucksChile , "negotiate in good faith, respecting the Chilean Constitution, the provisions of the ILO labor and the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises of the OECD. " Copy and paste on Facebook, retwittea, share, sympathizes with us. Starbucks Coffee Chile union
