MADELINE: PLEASE HELP a Feisty Little Old Lady Jack Russell at Anne Arundel County Animal Control, Millersville, MD – Sherry Durm · FREE TO A RESCUE: Madeline pull fees will be paid by Friends of AACAC thanks to a generous donor. She also is adoptable, and her only fee will be for a license, if required. · Arrived Oct. 11 as a return. · Received bordatella and distemper vaccinations Oct. 3 when she first came to the shelter (all dogs do). · Madeline weighs 16.2 pounds and is about 12 years old. As you can see from Madeline’s attached video, she’s one enthusiastic rubber ball squeaker – so much so that a volunteer got special permission to allow Madeline to keep her squeaky ball in her cage. It’s an example of Madeline’s feisty outlook on life – no old girl’s retirement home for her, thank you! Madeline needs all the inner strength she can muster because life has been knocking her around lately. First she showed up at shelter in early October (boo!), then she was adopted (yay!). But after a week her adopter returned her, saying she was “too much to care for.” BOO! The adopter speculated (no vet visit) that Madeline couldn’t control her bladder. The shelter’s conclusion is that she probably has an urinary tract infection, and has put her on Clavamox to clear that up. Madeline is adoptable, but we’re reaching out to all of you as well because of her age and length of total time she’s been in the shelter. Can you help sassy Madeline saunter out our door for good? We thank you…the animals thank you even more! Please share Madeline’s plea.
