MAKING IT KNOWN Read Daniel 1:1 through 2:49 Jason was at a crossroads. Tension at work was rising. Morale was at an all-time low. He loved his work, but the office politics were getting the best of him. Fed up with management, many of his coworkers had quit. Jason prayed for wisdom. He didn’t want to quit his job. He had a family to provide for. Did God want him to stick it out or find another line of work? While perusing the classifieds, Jason spied a position that looked promising. He prayed about it with his wife and sought the counsel of godly friends. They all encouraged Jason to submit his résumé. He interviewed and was offered the job within the week. “I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king” (Daniel 2:23). Just as Daniel thanked God for making known the meaning of the king’s dream, Jason thanked God for making known the path he should take. God shows us the right path when we ask Him for guidance.
